It’s Beakerhead calling with a titanium opportunity: Crews! They’re like committees, but better. It’s so volunteers like you can shape and deliver parts of Beakerhead 2016. Since you’ve been a key participant in the past, we wanted to give you the chance to get in the driver’s seat!

NB: Crew Info Sessions are for those 18 years of age and older. There will be other volunteer roles also be posted closer to the event too!

In 2014, more than 73,000 people took part in Beakerhead and over 165 million media impressions were generated. Millions took part all over the world via social media. Twitter, Facebook, Flickr and Instagram buzzed. Beakerhead was trending for the full five days.

Beakerhead is calling social media mavens (and aspiring) interested in being a part of an official Beakerhead Social Media Team. The Social Media Team will be in-the-know, behind-the-scenes, and on-the-ground, helping shape and deliver online experiences across social media channels.

If you are interested in being part of this team, you are invited to an information session to learn about team composition and behind-the-scenes access. Attendance at this session is required for all interested team members.

PREREQUISITES: Have a Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and/or Instagram account and willingness to be a part of something awesome! Suitable for 14 years and older.

A huge part of this success was due to the exemplary work of a 15-member, volunteer Beakerhead Photography Team, who captured the quirky essence of this art, science and engineering spectacle. Now it’s time to dial this up and build a Social Media Team to work with all these photos!

How?

A 15-member, volunteer Beakerhead Photography Team captured the quirky essence of this art, science and engineering spectacle.

It’s now the new year and time for the next Beakerhead Photography Team!

If you are interested in being part of this team in 2015, you are invited to an information session to learn about the team composition, behind-the-scenes access and recognition on a global stage. Attendance at this session is required for all interested team members.

Tuesday, February 24

6:30 – 8:00 pm

#101 – 1615 10 Ave SW, Calgary, AB

Up to 20 participants will make up the Beakerhead Photography Team for the 2015 event. Details of the selection process will be discussed at the info session.

PREREQUISITES: Own camera, a portfolio of previous work, and willingness to be a part of something awesome!

Beakerhead is calling for Calgarians interested in joining a crew! They’re like committees, but better — they’re groups that will help shape and deliver Beakerhead 2015.

You are invited to an information evening in the new year about the crews Beakerhead is hoping to establish.

There are three sessions to choose from:

BEAKERHEAD CREWS: INFO SESSIONS
1) Wednesday, January 21, 3:00 – 4:30 pm FULL

2) Tuesday, January 27, 6:00 – 7:30 pm RSVP here.

3) Thursday, January 29, 5:30 – 7:00 pm FULL

Catharsis Catapult Competition Crew: The planning and implementation team that will bring the 3rd annual Catharsis Catapult Competition to life
Curiosity Rovers: The on-the-ground people bringing the science and engineering to life with Beakerhead visitors across all spectacle locations
Swiss Watch Makers: The behind-the-scenes folks ensuring smooth sailing for all Beakerhead events, ranging from dispatch, transportation, logistics. It’s all in the details!
Social Club: This is the hospitality crew. This team will be responsible for the high-fives and party relations to make sure Beakerhead insiders are treated with panache.
